Himalayan Pink Salt Tiles 8x4x1 for Accent Walls and Sauna Interiors

Tiles or bricks? The honest answer

Most people arrive here unsure which one they need. The decision is usually simpler than it looks:

Choose 1" tiles if: You're covering a decorative accent wall, working in a residential space, mounting to an existing framed surface, retrofitting an alcove or niche, or you want to keep total wall weight down. We offer two types of Himalayan salt tiles: Natural White Salt Tiles and Pink Salt Tiles. They are also considerably easier to handle solo — one person can install a tile wall.

Choose 2" bricks if: It's a commercial installation with daily use, you want maximum backlit depth, or you're building a floor-to-ceiling structural feature. Browse our wholesale salt bricks.

Combine both: For a multi-depth wall — alternating 1" and 2" creates a relief texture that reads dramatically under raking light. Colour matches because both come from the same seam.

Ordering a small pack first to check colour against your existing finishes is a reasonable thing to do, and we'd rather you did that than guess.

A note on backlighting

At 1 inch, tiles transmit more light than bricks — the glow is brighter and more even, but less deep. If you want a soft, uniform wash, tiles are the better choice. If you want the light to look like it's coming from inside the stone, use bricks. Either way, run your LED strip behind a diffuser and leave an air gap; direct contact between LED and salt creates hot spots.
