What is the difference between salt bricks and salt tiles?
The main difference is thickness. Our standard pink salt bricks measure 8 × 4 × 2 inches, while standard pink salt tiles measure 8 × 4 × 1 inch. Other thicknesses may be available, so check your selected product. Plan the support and installation around the actual size and weight of the materials.
How many bricks or tiles will I need?
Multiply the wall width by its height to find the area in square feet. For pieces with an 8 × 4 inch face, multiply that area by 4.5 for the nominal piece count, then add an allowance for cuts and spares. Check the pack's stated coverage and your planned layout before ordering.
Does every salt wall kit include lighting?
Kit contents vary. Some listings include LED lighting, while other packs supply bricks or tiles with adhesive. Read the included-components list to confirm lighting, power supplies, mounting parts, and any items you need to buy separately.
Can I use salt bricks or tiles in a sauna?
Suitability depends on the complete installation and its location. Natural salt needs protection from direct water exposure. Himalayan salt is hygroscopic, so moisture management, proper airflow, and controlled humidity are crucial; keep the area below 55%. Salt walls are best installed in dry, controlled-humidity environments and protected from direct water and steam. Before ordering, ask your installer to confirm support, ventilation, heat exposure, adhesive suitability, and any lighting requirements against the equipment manufacturers' instructions. Claimed air, negative ions, respiratory, or cure effects are not proven, and these walls are primarily decorative, with aesthetic, relaxing atmosphere benefits.
Which adhesive should I use?
Choose an adhesive specified for your salt products and the intended installation conditions. Follow its instructions for surface preparation, application, and curing, and let the salt adhesive cure for 24–48 hours with no water exposure. Will every piece look the same?
No. Natural salt varies in color, veining, texture, and translucency. Review several pieces together when planning your layout, especially if you intend to backlight the wall. For maintenance, use a soft brush or dry cloth, dust regularly, and monitor for dampness.
Do you ship to the USA and Canada?
Yes. Shipping methods and charges depend on the order and destination. Large orders may require freight arrangements. Canadian deliveries may involve duties, taxes, and customs delays; free-shipping promotions do not apply to Canadian orders. Measure the area you want to cover
Record the width and height, then identify borders, openings, and any changes in depth.
Read the measuring checklist
Measure at several points if the area is uneven. Note whether your dimensions include a frame. Keep the nominal face-area calculation separate from cuts, spares, joints, and returns around corners. Share a sketch with your installer so you can calculate square footage before selecting a pack. That number also helps estimate bricks, adhesive, and LED lights.
Plan the lighting and support
Decide how the wall will be supported and how any lighting will be reached for maintenance, whether you choose a permanent adhesive method with salt-brick glue or a glue-free profile system.
Read the planning checklist
Ask your installer to check the supporting surface and weight of the complete installation. Confirm the LED strip, power supply, controller, wiring route, and access for replacement. A metal frame used in professional installations can simplify led backlighting, and its adjustable nature can also suit temporary settings like trade shows.
